69th National Film Awards 2023 Update: Mahesh Bhatt Calls Alia Bhatt’s Win “A Proud Moment for the Family”; Allu Arjun’s Son Happily Hugs Them.
According to the 69th National Film Awards 2023 updates, there were a number of up-and-coming winners in categories like “Pushpa: The Rise,” “Sardar Udham,” “Chhelo Show,” “RRR,” “The Kashmir Files,” and “Gangubai Kathiawadi.”
The 69th National Film Awards 2023 were revealed on Thursday at 5 PM. For his work in the movie “Pushpa: The Rise,” Allu Arjun got the Best Actor prize. Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon, meanwhile, won Best Actress honors for their roles in the films “Gangubai Kathiawadi” and “Mimi,” respectively. The prize for best feature film went to “Rocketry: The Nambi Effect”. At the 69th National Film Awards 2023,The Nargis Dutt Award for Best Film on National Integration was given to “The Kashmir Files”.
Sardar Udham, a film based on Shyamjit Sarkar’s biographical play, won several prizes at the 69th National Film Awards. Along with being named the best Hindi movie, it also won prizes for best cinematography (Avik Mukhopadhyay), best audiography (Sinoy Joseph), best production design (Dimitri Malik and Manasi Dhruv Mehta), and best costume design (Vira Kapoor).
The National Film Awards, one of the most coveted honors, are given each year to recognize excellence in filmmaking across the nation. The National Film Awards, which are administered by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting’s Directorate of Film Festivals, are meant to promote the production of movies that are visually stunning, technically superior, and have social significance.
These honors were first presented in 1954 and were first referred to as “State Awards.” Only the best movies in different regional languages were honored and recognized at the time. In 1967, trophies for movie actors and crew members were first given. The first actresses to receive the prize for their work were Nargis Raat and Din. For his performances in “Antony Firingee” and “Chiriyakhana” that same year, Uttam Kumar got the prize for Best Actor.
The Tamil film “Soorarai Pottru” took home prizes at the 68th National Film Awards in five categories, including Best Feature Film, Best Actor for Suriya, Best Actress for Aparna Balamurali, Best Music Direction (Score) for G.V. Prakash Kumar, and Best Original Screenplay for Sudha Kongara, who also directed the movie. Suriya and Ajay Devgn shared the Best Actor honor, which was given for the movie “Tanaji.”
Alia Bhatt won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in the movie “Gangubai Kathiawadi.” Neetu Kapoor, Alia’s actress mother-in-law, wrote on Instagram, “Alia is very pleased of your first National Award. God be with you.
Allu Arjun, the actor of “Pushpa: The Rise,” can be seen beaming with joy as he embraces his family in a recently uploaded video. He has just won the National Film Award for Best Actor.

The announcement of the winners of the 69th National Film Awards 2023 took place at the National Media Centre in New Delhi on Thursday. This event will be held on a future date when films produced in various languages during the calendar year 2021 will be honored by the President of India as the best Indian films. Films certified by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) between January 1, 2021, and December 31, 2021, were eligible for consideration.
