“In the second day of the second Test against West Indies at Queen’s Park Oval, Virat Kohli scored his 29th Test century. When India’s score was 314-4, Kohli reached this milestone by hitting a boundary off Shannon Gabriel’s delivery. This was Kohli’s 500th international appearance and his 111th Test match.
However, at India’s score of 341-5, he was eventually dismissed for 121 runs. It’s only the third time in his Test career that Kohli has been run out.

Since 2018, this century marks Kohli’s first international century achieved on foreign soil. His last overseas Test century came in December 2018 during India’s tour of Australia.
On Thursday, when India had scored 153 runs for the loss of 2 wickets, Kohli came to bat and quickly reached his century within 13 runs. India progressed to 288-4 against West Indies after a challenging session in the afternoon.
Kohli now holds the 10th position in the list of players with most combined runs in all three formats, with the legendary Sachin Tendulkar leading with 664 runs.
Kohli completed his 30th Test fifty against left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican (1-55) with a boundary. At the fifth wicket, Kohli was accompanied by Ravindra Jadeja 61at six wicket.
India dominated the early session at Queen’s Park Oval and reached a score of 121-0 in 26 overs before lunch. However, West Indies made a comeback in the afternoon session, taking four wickets. By tea, India’s score was 182-4 after approximately 51 overs.”

The Rohit Sharma-led side scored 288 for four on the opening day. Rohit (80 off 143 balls), Yashasvi Jaiswal (57 off 74) and Virat Kohli (87 batting) struck half-centuries for the visitors after being sent into bat.
